DISCUSSIONS

The minutes of the November 14, 2007 Board Meeting were approved as submitted.

I  Landscaping

The two-year contract signed with Childs landscaping.  The drainage correction was completed (stone, walk, three trees) looks good though some fill dirt was left where kids could track it.  The task is done within budget.

II  Pool Committee

The Pool Committee will meet tomorrow at 19:15 to discuss the timetable for outside membership; there is intent to raise the fee this year.   The use of passes will continue from last year.  The homeowners will be encouraged to stay aware of pool visitors and help ensure everyone signs in.  The pool contractor, DRD, has provided recommended pool rules for the committee to review and consider for use at IHCA.  DRD is also providing a release form for all pool users to sign (not just outside members).  The Committee will recommend the form for outside members only.  The swim team will also be requested to sign a liability release.  Melissa will get a legal opinion of the community’s liability and what coverage would be appropriate.

There’s been trouble getting contractors interested in providing estimates for a shade structure for the toddler pool.

III  2009-2010 Board Elections

No volunteers came forth to chair the election committee.  The Board will canvas the homeowners to try to find a volunteer.  In accordance with the by-laws, elections are to be held no more than two weeks after the slate is released, and no later than April.  The slate shown here has candidates noted for certain positions.

IV  Upcoming Events

The dumpsters will be here the last weekend in March.

Tennis Court Fence Painting – March 24, daytime, primer for rust control application, (>50ºF)  Gray will work with the last crew to ensure continuous coverage by experienced homeowners.
March 29, 30 paint.  Scaffolding would expedite painting the taller sections.  Using a drop cloth on one side to control the spatter while spraying the other side works well.  Gray will procure supplies and check on professional  service.

The tennis court resurfacing will be considered after the fence is painted.

A date for the Spring cleanup will be set and the community alerted by email.

The board continue to discuss sound reduction baffle boxes for the clubhouse.
