COMMUNITY ANNUAL ELECTION MEETING
June 16, 2010

SUMMARY

 

A meeting of the Indian Hills/Glen Eden Homeowner’s Association Board of Directors and community members was held June 16, 2010 at 7 PM, at the Community Center.  In accordance with Article VIII, B of the by-laws, at least five directors were present when the meeting was called to order.

DISCUSSIONS

President Diane Nicholson reviewed the accomplishments during the past year as follows:

  1. Signs and Lighting for the Route 2 and Glen Eden entrances
  2. The basketball court was coated and lines painted
  3. Needed tree work was completed around the club house
  4. The siding was repaired on the pool shed
  5. Pool repair work was completed including a new diving board and some perimeter tiles
  6. The use of solar power for the club house was investigated, and is an ongoing project
  7. The current loan for the club house is being refinanced at a lower cost and a ten year amortization, so that no additional refinancings will be necessary. The current loan terminates in November, 2010, with a balloon payment due of approximately $194,000.

Future community needs were then discussed as follows:

  1. The club house and shed may need resided in the near future
  2. Some redesign of the planting in the island and entrance needs done
  3. Some of the plants in the sign areas need repositioned
  4. There are some poison ivy problems near the club house
  5. The overgrown areas leading to Glen Eden need attention
  6. The parking lot needs sealed
  7. A grounds committee may be set up to address some of these items
  8. There is some feeling that a security camera at the entrance could help deter crime
  9. Damage to plantings from the recent power line installation needs addressed
  10. The By-Law revisions need to be completed

The results of the election for the new Board of Directors were reviewed with 32% of the community voting in person or by proxy. (15% vote by community is required) The 2010/2011 Board members are as follows:
