Indian Hills Swimming Pool Rules & Guest Policy
1. The lifeguard must be on duty and the pool officially
open before any user is allowed in the water or pool area.
2. All persons using the pool or pool area do so at their own risk and
sole responsibility. The management does not assume responsibility for any
accident-injury in connection with such use.
3. Residents must sign-in upon entering the pool facility. Guests must
also sign. Your cooperation helps the pool management company keep
accurate records on pool usage. This ensures adequate lifeguard coverage
now and in the future.
4. Guests must be accompanied by a resident at all times. When a resident
leaves guest must also leave. Residents will be held responsible for all
actions of their guests. The cost of any property damage will be charged
to the responsible party. Guest privileges may be suspended if pool usage
is too high as determined by the lifeguard on duty. Associate members are
not allowed guests at any time. There is no charge for guests.
5. The pool may be closed at any time due to mechanical breakdown,
operational difficulties, or inclement weather. The decision is at the
sole discretion of management.
6. All swimmers shall exit the pool when the lifeguard leaves his/her
station or at the lifeguard's request.
7. All bathers must shower before entering the pool. Bath houses, showers,
and sanitary facilities are provided.
8. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by a resident 18 years
of age older. If the child is in the pool, the guardian must be in the
immediate view of the child, unless the child has demonstrated adequate
swimming ability as determined by the lifeguard on duty. The child's
guardian is responsible for child's conduct.
9. Infants and children wearing diapers or who are not toilet trained
shall be permitted in the pool, but must wear tight fitting rubber pants
or "swim diapers.” In the event of fecal contamination, pool will be
closed in accordance with Health Department regulations.
10. Life preservers and inner tubes are not permitted at any time. If a
child uses water wings, the child must be accompanied in the main pool by
an adult.
11. Floatation mats and rafts are not permitted in the pool area at any
time.
12. Running, pushing, wrestling, ball playing, or causing undue
disturbance in or around the pool area will not be tolerated. Spouting of
water and similar unhygienic practices will not be permitted in the pool.
13. No abusive or profane language or breach of the peace will be
tolerated.
14. All persons use this facility at their own risk and in conformance
with all regulations. Individuals may be barred from the pool or pool
area, at the discretion of the lifeguard in charge for violation of said
rules or for any reason which in his/her judgment constitutes a hazard to
others or to the management. The lifeguard is responsible for the strict
enforcement and has authorization to temporarily deprive any member or
guest of privileges. A full statement is to be filed with the management
within 24 hours if such action if taken.
15. No pets are allowed in the pool area at any time.
16. All radios must be kept at a low volume.
17. Bicycles, motorbikes and skateboards are not permitted in the pool
area at any time
18. Baby strollers and baby carriages are not permitted within ten (10)
feet of the pool.
19. Only bathing suits are permissible. Cut-offs are not permitted.
20. Admission shall be refused to all persons having infectious disease,
sore or inflamed eyes, colds, nasal or ear discharges, or any communicable
disease of kind. Persons with excessive sunburn, open sores, or bandages
of any kind will not be permitted to use the facilities.
21. All beverages or food brought into the pool area must be in paper or
plastic containers and be consumed in designated areas. All trash must be
disposed of in trash container. Glass containers (i.e. baby food jars,
drink bottles, etc.) are not permitted in the pool area.
22. ABSOLUTELY NO INTOXICANTS may be brought into the pool area.
23. Only one person is permitted on the diving board at a time. The
individual or diving board may bounce only one time on the end of the
diving board and must dive straight off the diving board and swim directly
to the ladder and exit. Flips and back dives are strictly prohibited.
Diving well must be clear before anyone can go off the diving board.
24. All personal injuries, however slight, must be reported to the
lifeguard on duty. |
